Otter Waiver (Otter), a software company for eSignatures and Liability forms, today announced their partnership with One Tree Planted, an environmental charity focusing on global reforestation.
“We care deeply about the planet and made it our mission to give back to the environment and help reduce deforestation.” Otter Founder and CEO Ben Nelson said. ”To keep our promise of planting trees for every tree we save, we have donated 120 trees to be planted in Colorado to cover our first 1 million pieces of paper our clients will save by going digital. Our goal is to plant one million trees by 2025.”
Our Mission
Otter was established with a mission to reduce the amount of outdoor waste caused by paper liability waivers. In order to eliminate paper liability waivers, Otter makes digital signing and user management for the outdoor industry’s small businesses and non-profit organizations.
The U.S. cuts down 17 million trees annually to produce paper. Deforestation creates between 2.6 and 7.8 gigatonnes of carbon dioxide yearly, responsible for a large portion of greenhouse gas emissions. Trees clean our air and water, create habitats for biodiversity, contribute to our health and wellbeing.
Otter is proud to have One Tree Planted as an integral part of our business model to contribute to reforestation. Otter promises, to reduce the number of trees cut down, and also plant a new tree for every tree saved.
